Confident Girls Club · ages 9–13
currently offered in New Jersey
A confidence club for girls — before the world makes them doubt it.
An educational program where girls 9–13 build the tools for friendships, big feelings, body changes, boundaries, and finding their voice — led by a therapist with a decade of experience helping girls grow into themselves.
Founded by Caitlyn Skolnick, LCSW · educational program, not therapy
Why confidence work starts at nine
Somewhere between nine and thirteen, something shifts. The girl who belted songs in the grocery store starts whispering "is this okay?" before she speaks. Hands that shot up in third grade hover at half-mast in sixth. Friendships turn into weather systems. And a voice that was loud and certain starts asking permission.
Research and a decade of my own work with kids agree: this window — ages 9 to 13 — is when self-esteem, body image, and social confidence take shape, right as friendships get complicated, bodies start changing, and (soon) phones arrive with the whole internet's opinions attached.
The Confident Girls Club was created from my years of working with kids and seeing exactly how early self-worth begins to wobble — and how much sticks when a girl gets the right tools before the doubt calcifies. My hope is simple: girls who grow into women who know their worth.

What the club works on
Sessions are educational, interactive, and honestly — fun. Everything she'll explore:
Navigating shifting friend groups, exclusion, and conflict — without shrinking herself to keep the peace.
Naming feelings, riding the waves, and learning that no emotion — not even the loud ones — makes her "too much."
Honest, age-right conversations about puberty and the changing body — building respect for it instead of a war with it.
Saying no without apologizing twice. Practicing the sentences out loud, so they're there when she needs them.
Speaking up in class, in friendships, at home — and trusting that what she has to say is worth hearing.

Wondering whether your daughter is a fit, or whether what she's navigating needs more than a club? That's a perfect question for a free 15-minute chat — and if what your family actually needs right now is parent strategy support, I'll say so honestly.
